Трамп прокомментировал мирное соглашение между Украиной и Россией: "Что-то произойдет".

The United States has made "significant progress" in negotiations with Moscow and Kyiv over the past week. A peace agreement may be reached.

This was stated by U.S. President Donald Trump, as reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing New York Post.

"I think this is going to happen," Trump said regarding a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia.

The U.S. President mentioned that talks are currently ongoing with both sides.

"I think we made tremendous progress over the last week. We are dealing with the Russians. We are dealing with the Ukrainians. I think something will happen," he told Fox News.

The U.S. delegation, led by Vice President JD Vance and Trump's special representative for Ukraine and Russia, retired Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg, is expected to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the Munich Security Conference in Germany.

The Munich Security Conference will take place from February 14 to 16.

During his campaign, Donald Trump repeatedly claimed that he could end Russia's war against Ukraine within 24 hours. However, after his inauguration, on February 20, he joked that only half a day had passed.

Trump also insists that had he been president, Russia would not have launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. He supports this assertion by claiming he is a strong president, while Joe Biden is weak.

In recent days, Washington and Moscow have presented opposing views on the prospects for peace negotiations.

Trump stated that he has been in contact with Vladimir Putin and believes that the United States is making progress in negotiations to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Following Trump's comments, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told reporters that relations with Washington "are teetering on the brink of rupture," stating that Ukraine needs to abandon its NATO membership application and withdraw troops from regions occupied by Russian forces.
