Kursk Operation

Let us remind you that the Armed Forces of Ukraine began operations in the Kursk region on August 6. According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, over the course of 6 months of active combat operations on Russian territory, the total losses of Russian troops in personnel exceeded 47,000, with more than 19,000 killed. He noted that these are the most well-prepared Russian troops. The grouping of North Korean mercenaries also faced a rout.

During the operation, 924 soldiers of the Russian army were captured. The replenishment of the exchange fund allowed the release of some of our servicemen, including those who had been held captive since the spring of 2022.

Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha emphasized that the Kursk operation of the Defense Forces, which has been ongoing for six months, provided two important lessons to the global community: "The first is not to fear Putin; the second is to believe in Ukraine's ability to win."
