The National Police is conducting a special operation to shut down channels for the illegal export of conscript-age men abroad. Currently, more than 600 simultaneous searches are taking place across the country.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the Telegram channel of the National Police of Ukraine.

"More than 600 simultaneous searches are being carried out by operatives from the Department of Strategic Investigations and investigators from the National Police, and this is just the first stage of the special operation to block channels for exporting conscript-age men abroad," the National Police stated.

It is noted that the focus is on the organizers and participants of groups that assist conscript-age men in fleeing the country bypassing official border crossing points.

"According to available data, these routes have facilitated hundreds of conscripted individuals crossing the border. Operations are ongoing in all regions of Ukraine," the National Police adds.

Details of the special operation will be disclosed after the investigative actions are completed.

Ban on Border Crossing

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, restrictions have been imposed in Ukraine on the departure of conscripted men aged 18 to 60. This decision was made to ensure the mobilization and defense capability of the country during wartime.

Despite the ban on conscripted men leaving the country, various illegal schemes have emerged to circumvent these restrictions. Some of these include document forgery or crossing the border via illegal routes.

For example, last year, two deputies from the Kharkiv region and a former head of the regional military administration were exposed for organizing border crossings for 19 fake volunteers.
