Meteorologists have provided the forecast for the first day of spring in Ukraine.

Today, March 1, precipitation is expected in Ukraine. Snow mixed with rain is likely to occur almost everywhere.

Overcast conditions. In Ukraine, except for the east and southeast, there will be light wet snow and rain.

In the north and east of the country, icy patches are possible on the roads. The wind will mainly be from the south, at 5-10 m/s.

Daytime temperatures will range from -1° to +4°, while in the western regions, it will be 5-9° above zero.

Ice Circles on the Rivers of Chernihiv Region

An ice circle is a rare natural phenomenon that occurs on rivers with slow currents. It consists of a perfectly round disc of ice that rotates on the water's surface.

These circles are formed due to vortex flows that wear down the edges of the ice, giving it a circular shape.

Last week in Chernihiv region, particularly on the Ubid River in the Sosnytsia district, such an ice circle was recorded, and on February 25, on the Revna River in Semenivka.
