Today, January 15, snow will fall in parts of Ukraine. However, there will be no negative temperatures during the day, and a warming trend is expected in the coming days.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the forecast from meteorologist Natalka Didenko.
"A beautiful winter scene will be observed in the western regions of Ukraine, caused by atmospheric fronts, where snow will fall. To a lesser extent, light snow and sleet are also possible in the northern areas," she explained.
In the rest of Ukraine, according to the meteorologist, there will be no significant precipitation, and the southern part will even be sunny.
As for the temperature, the lowest recorded was at night in the southern part of Ukraine, except for the Carpathians, at -4....-8 degrees! In the rest of Ukraine, temperatures overnight ranged from -2...-6 degrees.
During the day on January 15, there will be no negative temperatures, though the western regions will be slightly cooler, around 0 to -3 degrees.
In Kyiv, mid-January, which is the peak of winter, was marked by slight frosts at night, around -1....-3 degrees, while during the day on Wednesday, the air temperature will hover around 0.
"No significant precipitation is expected in Kyiv, just a little light snow in some areas," Didenko noted.
In the future, a gradual increase in air temperature is anticipated across Ukraine.
