Football player Yegor Tverdokhleb from "Kryvbas" noted that the powerful finish to the first part of the season was achieved thanks to coach Yuri Vernidub, who helped the players avoid a "suitcase state," as reported by "Vydomo" citing the press service of the club.
"Yuri Nikolaevich emphasized that we must not allow suitcase moods under any circumstances. Otherwise, there will be a residue of thoughts that will spoil the impression of both the first part of the season and the beginning of the break. In fact, we focused and achieved the result that our coaches, fans, management, and ourselves expected," he said.
Additionally, Tverdokhleb responded to a question about how he got into football, considering that in the village of Borovaya in the Fastiv district of Kyiv region, according to directories, there is only a hand-to-hand combat section.
"No, there definitely wasn’t hand-to-hand combat in my childhood. Actually, we also have a football section there. The kids are still training. I wouldn’t say it’s some extraordinary development, but it’s great that the children can practice. I also trained in Borovaya from the age of six to ten. I played football constantly, not only in the section but also on the playground next to the school from morning till evening. Only after four years of training did I move to Fastiv, and from there to the Vyshgorod "Chaika," said Yegor.
