During the assault, Russian forces destroyed several positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Pokrovsk direction, according to "Khortytsia."

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy destroyed some positions of the Defense Forces during the assault. Ukrainian soldiers are taking steps to prevent a deterioration of the tactical situation.

This is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Telegram channel of the operational-strategic grouping of troops (OSGV) "Khortytsia".

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russians conducted offensive actions in the areas of Yelizavetovka, Lucha, Petropavlivka, Zelenyi, Zvezdnyi, Kotlynnyi, Novooleksandrivka, Uspenivka, Nadeivka, Kurakhove, Dachne, and Yasenove. In particular, fighting continued in Lisovka, Shevchenko, and Novovasyliivka.

"As a result of assault actions and fire impact, some of our positions were destroyed. Measures are being taken to prevent a deterioration of the tactical situation,” adds OSGV.

Situation on the Front

According to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), over the past day, January 14, there were 170 combat engagements on the front. In particular, in the Pokrovsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 70 assault and offensive actions by the aggressor.

Meanwhile, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) believes that the Russians are likely intending to cut off Ukrainian ground lines of communication in Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in the Donetsk region.
