Зеленский сообщил, что россияне вновь привлекли солдат КНДР для атак в Курской области.

The Russian army has once again brought in North Korean soldiers to the Kursk region. New assaults have already taken place in this direction, resulting in the destruction of hundreds of military personnel from both Russia and North Korea.

This information comes from RBK-Ukraine, citing the evening address by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

"There have been new assaults in the Kursk operation areas: the Russian army... and they have once again brought in North Korean soldiers. A significant number of occupiers have been eliminated. We are talking about hundreds of Russian and North Korean troops," Zelensky stated.

According to him, this is crucial as the fighting is taking place on Russian territory, preventing an escalation of tensions against Ukrainian cities.

"And we have 60,000 Russian army personnel in the Kursk region. That’s 60,000 who have not been added to the already substantial forces of the occupiers in Pokrovsk and other directions in the Donetsk region. I am grateful to all our warriors for their resilience, and to each brigade for their results," the president noted.

North Korean Troops in the Kursk Region

It should be noted that in order to drive Ukrainian soldiers out of the Kursk region, the Russians have engaged North Korean troops, who are suffering enormous losses there.

According to the General Staff, the losses of North Korean troops have already reached 4,000 personnel.

Recently, The New York Times reported that North Korean soldiers were withdrawn from the front line in the Kursk region due to significant casualties on the battlefield.

As stated by Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces representative Oleksandr Kindratenko in a comment to RBK-Ukraine, Russia has pulled back North Koreans from several fronts.

According to the Center for Counteracting Disinformation, in recent weeks, North Korean military personnel have not been participating in assaults in the Kursk region. It remains unclear whether the enemy plans to bring them back.

At the same time, the head of the GUR, Kyrylo Budanov refuted this information. He stated that around eight thousand North Korean soldiers are still fighting at the front line in the Kursk region of Russia, though recently in a reduced capacity.
