In just one day, Russia lost nearly 1,600 soldiers and significant military equipment, according to the General Staff.

In a 24-hour period from January 18 to 19, the Russian army suffered losses of 1,580 soldiers at the front. Additionally, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 18 armored combat vehicles, 36 drones, and 76 units of automotive equipment.

This information is reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to January 19, 2025, are estimated to be:

• personnel - approximately 818,740 (+1,580) individuals;
• tanks - 9,811 (+8) units;
• armored combat vehicles - 20,412 (+18) units;
• artillery systems - 22,055 (+15) units;
• multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) - 1,262 units;
• air defense systems - 1,046 units;
• airplanes - 369 units;
• helicopters - 331 units;
• operational-tactical level drones - 22,615 (+36) units;
• cruise missiles - 3,051 (+2) units;
• ships/boats - 28 units;
• submarines - 1 unit;
• automotive vehicles and tank trucks - 34,401 (+76) units;
• special equipment - 3,700 (+1) units.

As a reminder, as of the evening of January 18, there were 176 combat engagements on the front throughout the day. The highest number of battles was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, specifically - 84.
