As of the evening of January 3, there have been 138 combat engagements on the front line. The situation remains most intense in the Pokrovsky direction, with an increase in Russian attacks in the Kursk region.
This information is reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, Russian invaders launched five missile strikes and 45 air strikes, employing 10 missiles and 58 guided aerial bombs (GABs).
In addition, the Russians deployed 847 kamikaze drones and carried out approximately four thousand shellings against Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.
In the Kharkiv direction, our forces repelled two enemy attacks near Volchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted six assaults on our defenders' positions in the areas of Kucherovka, Synkivka, and Zahryzovo. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled two attacks, while four more are currently ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, over the course of the day, Russian invaders attacked Ukrainian positions 10 times near Nadezhda, Makeevka, Grigorievka, Tverdokhlebovo, Yampolivka, and towards Chernishina. One battle is currently underway.
In the Seversk direction, the enemy made two attempts to advance on our units' positions near Bilohorivka during the day, but was unsuccessful.
In the Kramatorsk direction, ten combat engagements have been recorded near Chasovyi Yar, Belya Hora, in the direction of Predtechino and Stupochki. The enemy dropped two GABs on Sloviansk.
In the Toretsk direction, the Russians attacked the defense positions seven times. The main offensive efforts of the occupiers were concentrated near the settlements of Diliivka, Toretsk, and Shcherbinovka. Currently, three combat engagements are ongoing.
Since the beginning of the day in the Pokrovsky direction, invasion units have attempted to breach our defenses 34 times near the settlements of Vodyane Vtore, Baranivka, Myrolubivka, Luch, Novoolevka, Ukrainka, Lisovka, Zelenoye, Novy Trud, Pyschane, Zverovo, Solenoye, Kotlino, and Pokrovsk. Five combat engagements are still ongoing.
Today, in this direction, Ukrainian soldiers neutralized 304 occupiers, 140 of whom are irretrievable. Additionally, a tank, an armored personnel carrier, four vehicles, and nine control antennas of the enemy's UAVs were destroyed.
In the Kurakhiv direction, the enemy was also active, attacking our positions near Petropavlivka, Serebryany, Kurakhovo, and Shevchenko 11 times, with five battles still ongoing.
In the Vremivka direction, the invaders launched 12 offensive actions near Yantarny and towards Konstantinovka and Novoselka. All combat engagements have concluded. The enemy dropped seven GABs in the area of Zelenoye Pole and attacked Novopol with rockets.
In the Orikhiv direction, our troops repelled one enemy attack near Novoandriivka.
In the Dniprovsky direction, the enemy made two unsuccessful attacks on our forces' positions.
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled 30 enemy attacks, with 11 combat engagements still ongoing. Additionally, the enemy carried out three airstrikes using three guided bombs and conducted 313 artillery shellings against our forces' positions and populated areas.
According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine, Russia has lost over 793,000 occupiers.
In particular, over the past day, the losses of the Russian army amounted to another 1,080 occupiers. The Defense Forces also destroyed 1 tank, 14 armored vehicles, 3 artillery systems, and other enemy equipment.
