This evening, February 28, Russian invaders once again attacked the territory of Ukraine using strike drones. In Kharkiv and the Odesa region, there have been reports of "arrivals," with information about casualties resulting from enemy shelling already confirmed.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleg Kiper, and the mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov.
The Air Forces reported detecting the movement of enemy drones in several directions. Due to the threat of "Shahed" drone attacks, an air alert was declared in several regions.
Additionally, military officials later reported the threat of ballistic weapon use by the enemy from the north.
Around 10:50 PM, it became known that an explosion was heard in the vicinity of Kharkiv amid the drone attack.
"An explosion was heard in the city! Be cautious - further drone attacks are possible," the city mayor Terekhov reported.
He later clarified that preliminary information suggested the airstrike targeted the central part of the city, specifically in a residential area.
"Information about casualties and damage is being verified," said the mayor of Kharkiv.
He later added that drones were still approaching the city and urged local residents to take shelter.
"There has been another arrival, preliminarily in the Shevchenkivskyi district and again near residential high-rises," the mayor reported.
According to the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleg Synegubov, there was another enemy strike in Kharkiv, with an "arrival" in the Shevchenkivskyi district, which fortunately did not result in casualties.
Residents were warned that Russian drones continued to move towards Kharkiv.
"Another strike occurred in the central part of the city near residential buildings. Information about casualties is being checked," stated the head of the regional military administration.
The head of the administration later reported that a fourth strike had hit Kharkiv, including the Holodnohirs'kyi district.
"Specialized services have arrived at the impact site," the official stated.
As the head of the administration later recounted, the fifth strike by the occupiers targeted the center of Kharkiv, specifically the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city.
A medical facility in Kharkiv has been attacked, resulting in a fire
The city mayor Terekhov reported that Russian occupiers struck a medical facility in Kharkiv where people were present. He added that a fire broke out at the impact site.
"One of the drones hit the premises of the medical facility. As of now, there are no casualties," Synegubov later reported.
The head of the administration later conveyed that due to the "Shahed" impact, emergency services were extinguishing a fire on the roof of a three-story building.
The official also mentioned another drone strike in the Kyiv district, noting that all impacts were in the central part of Kharkiv.
Mayor Terekhov added that the Russians continued to attack Kharkiv, with another arrival in the Kyiv district near a gas station.
"Information regarding damage and casualties is being clarified," he stated.
According to the head of the administration, over 50 people are being evacuated from the medical facility that was hit by the occupiers.
He also informed that rescuers are working to extinguish the fire in the damaged building.

"The Odesa region was under attack. As a result of the strike and falling debris, a one-story private house, an enterprise, and cargo and passenger vehicles caught fire. One person has died, and another has been injured. All relevant services are working to mitigate the aftermath," the official reported.
He added that the threat of airstrikes on the city remains.
