Russian forces attacked Nikopol with a drone on January 4. The fire station was damaged.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"In Nikopol, the enemy struck the territory of the State Emergency Service unit," the report states.

According to rescuers, the occupiers attacked Nikopol in the morning.

"They specifically targeted the fire station area. Fortunately, the personnel of the fire and rescue unit were unharmed," the State Emergency Service noted.

In particular, the strike shattered the windows of the fire depot.

Russian forces continuously attack Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Each day is marked by shelling.

The occupiers target the city from the temporarily occupied Enerhodar in the Zaporizhzhia region, where the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is located.

These cities are separated by the Dnipro River. Therefore, the invaders can easily reach Nikopol with both artillery and drones.

For instance, Russian forces attacked the central market in Nikopol with a drone at the end of December. Many people were injured.
