The Russian occupiers launched a drone attack on Sumy on the night of January 26. As a result of the attack, the city has sustained damage.

"As a result of two explosions, a building of one of the educational institutions, a multi-apartment residential building, and administrative buildings were damaged," the statement says.
Fortunately, there are no casualties in Sumy from the attack. Relevant services are working at the explosion sites.
According to Sumy OVA, 7 enemy "Shaheds" were destroyed over the region during the night. Since the beginning of 2025, air defense units in the Sumy region have downed 235 Russian drones.
On the night of August 26, Russians launched drones against Ukraine. Drone movements were recorded in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions.
That night, Russian drones once again attacked Kharkiv. Damage to buildings was recorded in the city.
