On the night of February 2, Russia launched 55 drones towards Ukraine. Air defense systems were active in 10 regions of Ukraine.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
The drones were launched from three locations - Kursk, Orel, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 9:00 AM, air defense forces had destroyed 40 Russian drones. Additionally, 13 enemy decoy drones were locally lost (without negative consequences).
Air defense systems were operational in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Odesa regions.
According to the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Kharkiv and Sumy regions were affected by the enemy attack.
During the night, the Russians attacked Kharkiv, resulting in a "hit" on an enterprise. The attack caused a large-scale fire. Furthermore, an enemy drone struck a house in Lyubotyn, Kharkiv region. As a result of the strike, a man and a woman sustained burns.
In the Sumy region, as a result of the night drone attack, both apartment buildings and private homes, as well as vehicles, were damaged.
