The Russian General Staff reports that Russia has lost 833,000 soldiers in its extensive war against Ukraine.

During the day from January 27 to 28, the Russian invading forces lost 1,380 soldiers at the front, along with 5 tanks and 86 vehicles.

During the 24 hours from January 27 to January 28, the Russian invading army lost 1,380 soldiers, 5 tanks, and 86 units of automotive equipment on the front lines.

This information is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to January 28, 2025, are approximately as follows:

  • personnel - about 833,000 (+1,380) eliminated;
  • tanks - 9,876 (+5) units;
  • armored fighting vehicles - 20,573 (+12) units;
  • artillery systems - 22,366 (+27) units;
  • multiple rocket launchers - 1,263 units;
  • air defense systems - 1,050 units;
  • airplanes - 369 units;
  • helicopters - 331 units;
  • operational-tactical UAVs - 23,399 (+72) units;
  • cruise missiles - 3,053 units;
  • ships/boats - 28 units;
  • submarines - 1 unit;
  • automotive vehicles and fuel tankers - 35,269 (+86) units;
  • special equipment - 3,718 (+2) units.

Situation at the Front and Russian Drone Attacks

According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Russian aggressor has advanced on three fronts in the Donetsk region, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine have regained lost positions near Toretsk.

Last night, Russian terrorists launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine using "Shahed" kamikaze drones.

As a result, impacts and falling debris damaged homes and businesses in Kharkiv and the surrounding area.

Additionally, enemy UAVs damaged houses and caused fires in Odessa.
