Russia is launching a massive attack on Ukraine on Wednesday, December 25th. The energy sector is once again under enemy fire.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing Ukraine's Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko on Facebook.
"The enemy is again launching a massive attack on the energy sector. The transmission system operator is taking the necessary measures to limit consumption in order to minimize negative consequences for the energy system," Halushchenko noted.
The minister added that as soon as the security situation allows, energy workers will assess the damage incurred.
On the night of December 25, Russians fired missiles at Ukraine. The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported launches of "Kalibr" cruise missiles from the Black Sea and ballistic missiles.
Due to the massive shelling, energy restrictions have been implemented in Ukraine.
Authorities in Kharkiv reported a massive shelling of the city. As a result of the attack, there are casualties.
