On the night of February 20, the Russian Federation launched a massive attack on Ukraine. The enemy is utilizing missiles and drones for the assault.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Telegram of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration Ivan Fedorov.
Approximately at 00:31, explosions were heard in Kharkiv, likely outside the city. Military sources indicated a threat of ballistic missiles coming from the northeast. At the same time, Fedorov also reported that there is, in particular, a ballistic threat to the Zaporizhzhia region.
Shortly before this, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the enemy had launched high-speed targets. These were moving towards the Mykolaiv region, then to the Kirovohrad region, after which they changed their trajectory towards the Dnipropetrovsk region. According to monitoring channels, these could be "Kalibr" missiles. Specifically, three missile carriers were reportedly spotted in the Black Sea prior to this. However, it should be noted that this information is unofficial.
Meanwhile, military personnel continue to detect enemy drones in several regions of Ukraine.
As of 00:40, the air alert map looks as follows. As can be seen, the alert continues in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk regions.
It is worth noting that on the night of February 19, the Russians launched 167 UAVs against Ukraine. As of 09:00, 106 drones were destroyed by air defense forces. Additionally, 56 decoy drones were locally lost.
