Russia launched two missiles and over 60 drones at Ukraine on the night of January 25. The air defense forces intercepted all missiles and the majority of the drones.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force.
"On the night of January 25, the enemy attacked with two guided air-to-surface missiles X-59/69 from the airspace over the Black Sea," the message states.
Additionally, the occupiers launched 61 strike drones of the "Shahed" type and various types of decoy drones from the directions of - Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsk-Akhtarsk.
The air assault was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
"As of 09:30, the interception of two guided air-to-surface missiles X-59/69 and 46 strike drones of the 'Shahed' type and other types of drones has been confirmed," noted the Air Force.
In addition, 15 enemy decoy drones were locally lost.
The air defense operated in the regions of Odesa, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi, and Kirovohrad.
The downed Russian drones caused damage in Kyiv, Cherkasy, and Khmelnytskyi regions. Buildings of enterprises, institutions, apartment blocks, private houses, and vehicles were damaged.
Emergency services are addressing the aftermath, and assistance is being provided to the affected individuals.
