In just one day, the Russian army lost 1,500 soldiers and around 40 artillery systems, according to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
During the day from January 23 to 24, the Russian army lost 1,500 soldiers on the front, a rocket launcher system, and 87 units of automotive equipment.
This information is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to January 24, 2025, are estimated as follows:
- personnel - approximately 826,820 (+1,500) eliminated;
- tanks - 9,852 (+2) units;
- armored fighting vehicles - 20,508 (+11) units;
- artillery systems - 22,295 (+39) units;
- MLRS - 1,263 (+1) units;
- air defense systems - 1,050 units;
- airplanes - 369 units;
- helicopters - 331 units;
- operational-tactical UAVs - 23,162 (+51) units;
- cruise missiles - 3,051 units;
- ships/boats - 28 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- automotive vehicles and fuel tankers - 34,992 (+87) units;
- special equipment - 3,715 (+1) units.
Situation on the Front and Russian Shelling
According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russian invaders achieved success in several areas of Donetsk region and in Kursk region.
During the past night, the Russian aggressor attacked Ukraine with "Shahed" kamikaze drones.
In two localities of Kyiv region, private and multi-story buildings were damaged as a result of UAV strikes. There are casualties and injuries.
