On the night of February 18 to 19, Russian military forces carried out a massive drone attack on Odessa. As a result of the hostile assault, many homes are without electricity, water, and heating.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Telegram from the city's mayor, Gennady Trukhanov.
"As a result of the intense enemy strike on a densely populated area of the city, there is no electricity, water, or heating in a large portion of homes," the message states.
He noted that hospitals, clinics, and social infrastructure facilities are left without heating.
Currently, an operational headquarters is being established in the city.
"Together with specialists, we are now assessing the aftermath," Trukhanov added.
It is worth noting that Russian forces attack Ukraine with drones, and sometimes with other means of destruction, on a daily basis.
In particular, from the evening of February 17 to the morning of February 18, the enemy launched 176 Shahed-type strike drones across Ukrainian territory. As of 09:00, air defense forces managed to shoot down 103 "Shaheds" and drones of other types. Additionally, 67 enemy decoy drones were lost locally without negative consequences.
