Job opportunities in the booking sector for Ukrainians: what positions are available and what are the salary ranges?
Job vacancies with military draft deferments have become relevant in Ukraine's labor market during the full-scale war. Companies in critical infrastructure and those essential for the country's economic functioning during wartime are offering jobs with the possibility of deferment from conscription.

Which specialists can obtain deferments
During the state of martial law in Ukraine, certain enterprises and institutions can reserve their conscripted employees from mobilization.
The government has approved a corresponding procedure, detailing which specialists are eligible for deferment and under what conditions. Specifically, these include civil servants, employees of the defense industry, fuel and energy sector, critical infrastructure workers, emergency service rescuers, educators, and medical professionals.
Additionally, institutions recognized as critically important for the functioning of the economy and ensuring the livelihood of the population can reserve employees who produce goods, perform work, and provide services necessary for meeting the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Depending on the workplace, the criteria and the allowable number of reserved employees may vary.
At the same time, to receive a deferment, the employee must be registered with the local TCC and SP, have updated military registration data, and not be wanted.
Where are the most jobs with deferments
Obtaining a deferment from conscription can be one of the advantages when searching for a job, so companies actively highlight this option in their job postings, while popular job search websites have created separate sections for such announcements. For employers, the reservation option helps to overcome the shortage of personnel.
As of February 5, there were over 6,500 job vacancies marked "with employee reservation" on the Work.ua job portal.
The most job opportunities with deferments are found in the category "Skilled Trades, Manufacturing" (2,200 vacancies).
In second place is the sector "Administration, Middle Management" (840 vacancies), followed by "Construction, Architecture" (790 job offers).

On robota.ua, there are 3,200 job offers with reservation options. The most available positions are in the following professional fields:

Job vacancies and salaries
The leading sector in the labor market for the number of vacancies with reservations is "Skilled Trades and Manufacturing."
Here, job offers are posted for technologists, lathe operators, gas welders, CNC machine operators, and fitters. According to Work.ua, the average salary in this field is 24,000 UAH, although income levels vary across job postings.
For instance, a gas welder at a company in Lutsk with a reservation can earn between 20,100 and 41,500 UAH.
Candidates are expected to perform welding work of varying complexity and to be able to read blueprints. Housing and special clothing are provided, and travel expenses are reimbursed.

On robota.ua, there is a vacancy for an oil and gas extraction technologist with a salary of from 42,000 UAH. Among the mandatory requirements are a higher education in oil and gas, specialization knowledge, and at least 3 years of work experience.

For a loader position at a military clothing manufacturing facility in Kyiv, the employer indicates the possibility of reserving employees.
The responsibilities include loading and unloading goods according to invoices and participating in inventory. Experience in warehouse work is preferred. The salary offered is around 22,000-25,000 UAH.
