Changes in water supply tariffs are on the horizon for the Dnipropetrovsk region, set to take effect in 2025. However, this increase will not affect all consumers. According to the official website of KP DOR "Aulskyi Vodovod", tariffs for the population will remain at the current level. A new tariff plan will be introduced for businesses and organizations. This information is reported by "Vidomo".
The decision to raise tariffs for businesses was made by the National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Public Utilities (NERC) on December 24, 2024, during an open meeting dedicated to setting prices for centralized water supply and wastewater management for 2025.
This decision is based on an analysis of the costs necessary for the maintenance and development of the water supply system. Specifically, it considered expenses for the repair and maintenance of water supply networks, the purchase of necessary equipment, as well as the continually rising prices for electricity, water treatment reagents, and labor resources.
The tariffs will be as follows:
NERC also took into account the inflationary processes in the country and aimed to strike a balance between the interests of businesses and the need to ensure quality water supply. The new tariffs for businesses will be differentiated based on the volume of water consumption and the type of business activity.
Moreover, for the first time, a system of incentive discounts will be introduced for enterprises that implement energy-efficient technologies and reduce their water consumption.
