Nearly half of the attacks in a day occurred in the Pokrovsk direction. What is the current situation on the front lines?

On January 14, there were 170 combat encounters on the front lines within a 24-hour period. Nearly half of these occurred in the Pokrovsk direction.

This is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Overall, there were 170 combat encounters recorded in the past day.

Pokrovsk Direction

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine halted 70 assault and offensive actions by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Yantarne, Novotoretske, Luch, Zelenе, Novyi Trud, Chunyshyne, Zverovo, Uspenivka, Novoandriivka, Nadiivka, Petropavlivka, and Shevchenko.

Situation in Other Directions

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy made two assaults on our troops' positions near Volchansk.

In the Kupiansk direction, there were five attacks by the occupiers in the past day. Defense forces repelled the enemy's assault actions near Nova Kruhlyakivka and Tabayivka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 17 times, attempting to advance near the settlements of Kopanky, Hrekivka, Novoiehorivka, Raihorodka, Makeivka, Zarechne, Terny, and Hryhorivka.

In the Seversk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 14 times in the areas of the settlements of Bilohorivka, Verkhnokamenske, Ivano-Dariivka, and Vyymka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, 14 combat encounters were recorded in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Predtechyno, and Oleksandro-Shultino.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out eight attacks near Toretsk and Shcherbinivka.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions eight times near Konstantynivka, Velyka Novosilka, and Neskuchne.

In the Dnipro direction, the enemy continues to attempt to dislodge the Armed Forces of Ukraine from their positions, with three unsuccessful assaults carried out by the aggressor in the past day.

In the operational zone in the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 24 attacks from Russian invaders. The enemy launched nine airstrikes (13 KAB) on their own territory.

In the Orikhiv and Huliaipole directions, there were no combat encounters in the past day. The enemy continues to conduct permanent shelling of Ukrainian units' positions and civilian infrastructure, as well as drone strikes.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groupings have been detected.

Losses of the Russian Federation in Ukraine

In total, over the past day, Russian losses amounted to 1580 soldiers. Ukrainian forces also neutralized 13 tanks, 22 armored combat vehicles, 52 artillery systems, 2 air defense systems, 107 operational-tactical level UAVs, and 204 units of automotive equipment.

Additionally, over the past day, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck two command posts, four areas of personnel concentration, and one other significant enemy facility.
