Emergency power outages have begun across Ukraine due to an attack by the Russian Federation on Wednesday, January 15. Currently, these outages are in effect in several regions, but the list may expand.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine, referencing a Facebook post by the Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko, as well as DTEK "Dniprovsky Electric Networks," "Kirovohradoblenergo," DTEK, and "Ukrenergo."
"The enemy continues to terrorize Ukrainians. Due to the massive attack, the transmission system operator is implementing preventive measures to limit power supply," - said Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko.
Therefore, emergency power outages have already been implemented in several regions.
"By order of NEC "Ukrenergo," emergency power outages have been introduced," - states the message.
Energy workers noted that scheduled outages are not in effect at this time.
"Please conserve electricity if you currently have it, to help stabilize the system," - they request.
In the Kirovohrad region, starting at 7:12, an emergency outage schedule (GAV) has been activated by order of NEC "Ukrenergo."
"In the event of simultaneous activation of GAV and GPV, the outage time according to your schedule may be extended," - confirmed "Kirovohradoblenergo."
Additionally, according to "Ukrenergo," emergency outages were also implemented on January 15 in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Furthermore, according to DTEK, due to the massive attack, "Ukrenergo" is also applying preventive limitation measures in the Donetsk region.
On January 15, Russia launched yet another massive bombardment against Ukraine. Around 1:00 AM, Russian forces deployed drones over Ukraine, and by morning - missiles. Specifically, several Russian missile carriers were deployed in the Black and Mediterranean Seas.
The first explosions occurred in Kharkiv, and an air raid alert due to missile threats was declared nationwide. Later, explosions were reported in the Cherkasy region. In turn, Poland raised its combat aviation.
