Olympics 2028: Over 30 athletes from Dnipropetrovsk region may participate in the Games.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine has approved the list of athlete candidates for participation in the XXXIV Olympic Games in 2028 in Los Angeles, scheduled for 2025. The list includes 32 athletes representing the Dnipropetrovsk region. This information is reported by the NOC Department in Dnipropetrovsk region, as conveyed by "Izvestno".

The athletes are divided into three groups: elite, leading, and promising.

In particular:

Basketball: in the promising group – 1 male and 1 female basketball player,

Wrestling (freestyle): in the elite group – 2 wrestlers and 1 female wrestler.

Weightlifting: in the leading group – 1 female athlete,

Rowing: in the elite group – 6 athletes and 1 female athlete, in the leading group – 1 female athlete,

Canoeing and kayaking: in the leading group – 1 male athlete,

Judo: in the elite group – 1 female athlete, in the leading group – 1 female athlete,

Track and field: in the elite group – 1 male and 1 female athlete, in the promising group – 1 female athlete,

Swimming: in the elite group – 1 male athlete, in the leading group – 1 male and 1 female athlete,

Sport climbing: in the elite group – 1 female athlete, in the leading group – 1 female athlete,

Shooting (rifle): in the elite group – 1 male athlete, in the leading group – 1 male and 1 female athlete, in the promising group – 1 female athlete,

Tennis: in the elite group – 2 female athletes,

Fencing: in the leading group – 1 male athlete.
