On the night of March 3rd, unidentified drones targeted one of the largest oil refineries in the Russian Federation (RF) located in Ufa.

In the night of March 3, unidentified unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) attacked one of the largest oil refineries in the Russian Federation (RF) located in Ufa.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Telegram channel of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation (CCD) led by Andrei Kovalenko.

Kovalenko stated that the Ufa oil refining complex, which comprises several facilities, has an annual capacity of 20 million tons of oil.

Overall, Ufa is one of the largest oil refining hubs in the terrorist state of Russia. In particular, the Bashkortostan region ranks among the top five oil refining centers in the country by total processing volume.

The attacked refinery holds strategic importance for the enemy's military, as it supplies fuel to their forces. Its products include:

  • aviation fuel;
  • diesel fuel for military vehicles;
  • lubricants necessary for the operation of armored vehicles, aviation, and automotive transport.

Attacks on Ufa

That night, residents of Ufa reported hearing explosion sounds in the area. As later revealed, drones attacked the local refinery, resulting in a fire.

According to eyewitness accounts, the attack occurred after 1 AM. The explosions triggered alarms in vehicles. Local Telegram channels claimed that the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations later confirmed the fire at the refinery. By after 3 AM, firefighters had reportedly managed to contain the blaze.
