The newly elected president of the USA, Donald Trump, is already actively fulfilling his duties as head of state, and this is evident not only in political circles but also on the international stage.
According to The Hill, Trump is not only significantly influencing legislative processes in Washington but is also raising international issues. He has already stated that the USA should regain control over the Panama Canal and emphasized that "U.S. control over Greenland is an absolute necessity." These statements have garnered the attention of international media and highlight the determination of the new president.
"It’s clear that he is now the main figure. No one is asking, 'where is Biden?' regarding any of these issues. Trump is the one in charge, even without confirmation of the election results," said Senator Lisa Murkowski.
Experts note that Trump has managed to achieve significant success even before his inauguration. Republican strategists emphasize that he influenced the funding bill process, reducing it from an initial 1547 pages to just 116 pages.
At the same time, Biden, according to some lawmakers, is not showing much initiative, a point that has been discussed multiple times in Washington. Senator Thom Tillis pointed out that Trump is demonstrating more leadership than President Biden himself. "We are receiving more leadership from Mar-a-Lago [Trump's residence in Florida] than from the White House," he concluded.
