In Ukraine, children need to register a declaration with a doctor to receive medical services. This can be done easily using a birth certificate.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the National Health Service of Ukraine on Telegram.
"Children under 14 do not need to obtain a Taxpayer Identification Number for verification," the NHSC noted.
According to them, children under 14 are not required to acquire a TIN specifically for the verification of data in the Central Database of the Electronic Health System with the State Register of Individuals - Taxpayers.
However, to sign the declaration, they only need to have a birth certificate.
"In the future, the verification of children's records will be conducted based on the birth certificate," the service explained.
The following data is subject to verification:
"A patient with the status 'Unsuccessful Verification' cannot be denied access to medical care," the NHSC emphasized.
Let us remind you that the rules for children's medical examinations have changed in Ukraine. More details about the changes can be found in the RBK-Ukraine article.
