Несмотря на перемирие, израильская армия нанесла удары по целям "Хезболлы" в Ливане.

Over the past few hours, the Israeli army has targeted several sites associated with the "Hezbollah" group in Lebanon. This action has neutralized threats from terrorists that undermine the ceasefire between the parties.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Among the targeted sites were a rocket launcher, a military facility, and routes along the Syrian-Lebanese border that were used for smuggling weapons for "Hezbollah".

Prior to the strikes, the military warned about threats to the international mechanism established under the ceasefire between Israel and "Hezbollah," which "had not been addressed".

"The IDF continues to act with the aim of eliminating any threat to the State of Israel and will prevent any attempts by the terrorist organization 'Hezbollah' to restore its capabilities in accordance with the ceasefire agreements," the statement said.

Areas of Attack

Lebanese media reported Israeli airstrikes on the village of Houmine al-Fawqa in the Nabatieh district. The village is located north of the Litani River, approximately 17 kilometers from the Israeli border.

Later, Lebanese media reported additional Israeli airstrikes in the Janta area of the Bekaa Valley, near the border with Syria.

Peace Agreement Between "Hezbollah" and Israel

In September, the IDF launched a ground military operation against militants in southern Lebanon. The objective is to push the terrorists further away from the Israeli border and reduce the number of attacks on the country's territory.

Since November 27, 2024, Israel and "Hezbollah" have been in a state of ceasefire. Under the agreement, the Israelis committed to withdrawing their troops from Lebanon within 60 days. In return, the Lebanese Armed Forces will take control of the southern regions of the country to prevent terrorists from re-establishing their positions there.

The peace agreement was partly reached due to the fact that the Israeli army eliminated almost all of the leadership of "Hezbollah".

On January 11, the IDF struck a group of "Hezbollah" militants in southern Lebanon who were advancing and posing a threat.
