A Dnipropetrovsk lawmaker poked fun at a colleague over a bill to legalize shamans and hypnotists.

People's Deputy from Dnipropetrovsk, Maksym Buzhansky, criticized a bill proposed by his party colleague from "Servant of the People," Lada Bulakh, which aims to legalize the practice of hypnotists and shamans. Buzhansky shared his thoughts in a Telegram channel, as reported by "Vidomo".

"It should be noted that the attempt to permit shamans and hypnotists on every corner is not the first success of Lada Bulakh, nor is it the first instance of sneaking some dubious content into a bill on a different topic. Her previous legislation was about increasing the size of scary images on cigarette packages. Everyone voted in favor, only to later discover that she had snuck in a ban on smoking IQOS and hookahs in cafes and restaurants," Buzhansky pointed out.

He also suspects that the introduction of this bill is not coincidental.

"Well, there was lobbying from anti-tobacco advocates, but what about this? A big request from sorcerers?" the MP remarked.
