A car crashed into a truck on the Dnipro-Kryvyi Rih highway (PHOTO)

On the evening of January 13, a Volkswagen Passat veered into oncoming traffic on the Dnipro-Kryvyi Rih highway and collided with a truck's wheel, reports "Vідомо" citing "Svoї".

The accident occurred between Kryvyi Rih and Sofiivka.

As a result of the collision, the car was spun around and thrown onto the roadside. When the truck came to a stop, another truck that was following behind crashed into it.

Preliminary reports indicate that the driver of the Volkswagen was under the influence of alcohol. Both he and his passenger were taken to the hospital.

Traffic on the highway was disrupted. Police and medical personnel were on the scene of the accident.
