Widespread power outages have been reported in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The cause is attributed to strong winds and other weather conditions.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing "Prikarpattiaoblenergo."
According to the company, gusts of southwest winds reaching 25-30 m/s have resulted in numerous power outages across the region. The most challenging situation is currently in Dolynshchyna, Rozhnyativshchyna, and mountainous areas.
As a result of fallen poles and damaged wires on overhead power lines of 6-10 kV, 4 settlements are completely without power and 10 are partially affected. Outages have been recorded in the Dolynska, Rozhnyativska, Kosivska, Verkhovynska, and Kolomyiska communities.
Massive accidents and numerous breaks have also occurred on 0.4 kV lines:
In total, more than 20 teams of energy workers are currently engaged in restoring power supply. They are doing everything possible to ensure that electricity returns to every home by the end of the daylight hours.
It is worth reminding that rescuers warned of strong winds in the Carpathians on January 6-7 with gusts of up to 40 m/s in high-altitude areas. Tourists are urged to refrain from mountain hikes.
