The General Staff reported over 170 battles on the front, with the highest concentration occurring in the Pokrovsk direction.

As of the evening of January 28, there have been 174 combat encounters on the front lines. The highest number of attacks by Russian occupiers has been recorded in the Pokrovsk direction.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine referencing Facebook of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy unsuccessfully stormed our units' positions seven times in the areas of Volchansk and Staritsa.

In the Kupiansk direction, the aggressor conducted offensive actions near Kutkivka, Kondrashivka, Dvurechna, Petropavlivka, Nova Kruhlyakivka, and Bohuslavka, with two combat encounters still ongoing. Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 enemy attacks.

In the Lyman direction, Russian invaders attacked the defense forces' positions nine times near Novoyehorivka, Bohuslavka, Novolyubivka, Makeivka, and in the Serebryansky forest. One combat encounter continues to this day.

In the Seversk direction, the enemy attacked our defenders' positions 17 times in the areas of Bilohorivka, Novoselivka, and Verkhnokamianske. As of now, two combat encounters are still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy stormed our positions 11 times near Predtechyne, Belyi Hory, and Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk direction, our forces repelled 17 attacks from the enemy in the areas of the settlements Krymske, Diliivka, Dachne, Toretsk, and Shcherbynivka. Another combat encounter is still ongoing. Additionally, the enemy launched an airstrike with 4 guided bombs on the settlement Yekaterinivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attacked 75 times in the areas of the settlements Vodyane Druhe, Myrolyubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Luch, Sukhy Yar, Lysovka, Zelenyi, Vozzrazhdeniya, Shevchenko, Pokrovsk, Serhiivka, Udachne, Nadiivka, Uspenivka, Novovasyliivka, Novoaleksandrivka, Alekseevka, Dachne, Bohdanivka, Kurakhove, and Ulakly.

At the same time, the enemy carried out airstrikes with guided bombs on the settlements Andriivka and Udachne.

Today in this direction, according to preliminary data, Ukrainian warriors neutralized 275 occupiers, of which 146 are irretrievable. Additionally, four motorcycles, four units of automotive equipment, one mortar, two satellite communication devices, two UAV antennas were destroyed, and a motorcycle and mortar were also damaged.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, the enemy made seven attempts to break through our defenses near the settlements of Konstantinopol and Razliv. Furthermore, the enemy launched airstrikes on the settlements Komar and Novyi Komar, dropping seven guided bombs.

In the Huliaipole direction, the occupiers attacked the settlement Novosilka five times.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian occupiers dropped six guided aerial bombs near the settlement Kalynivske.

In the Dniprovsk direction, the occupying forces conducted one assault on our defenders' positions, which was unsuccessful, and they retreated.

In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled ten enemy attacks today, and one battle is currently ongoing. Meanwhile, the enemy launched 15 airstrikes, dropped 27 guided bombs, and carried out 255 artillery shellings, including three from multiple launch rocket systems.

Russian Losses in the War

According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine, Russia has lost over 833,000 military personnel.

In particular, over the past day, the losses of Russian invaders amounted to 1,380 individuals. Additionally, yesterday Ukrainian warriors destroyed 5 tanks, 12 armored personnel carriers, 27 artillery systems, 72 operational-tactical level UAVs, 86 vehicles, and 2 units of special equipment of the occupiers.
