The number of Russian attacks is decreasing at the front, with the Ukrainian Armed Forces identifying the hottest areas of conflict.

The front lines are seeing a noticeable decrease in the number of battles. As of the evening of December 26, there have been 164 combat engagements since the start of the day, compared to over 210 the previous day. The most intense areas of assault have been identified as Pokrovsky, Limansky, and Kurakhovsky.

On the front, a noticeable decrease in the number of battles is being recorded - from the beginning of the day on December 26 until the evening, there have been 164 combat encounters, whereas the previous day there were over 210. The most intense assault directions have been identified as Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Kurakhovo.

This information is reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the Telegram channel of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The military command provided an update on the operational situation at the front as of 22:00 on December 26.

Russian Shelling

Throughout the day, Russian invaders carried out 35 airstrikes (utilizing 45 guided aerial bombs) and conducted over 700 kamikaze drone attacks.

Additionally, the enemy executed more than 4600 shellings of the positions held by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Situation at the Front

In the Kharkiv direction, there were 2 combat encounters near Volchansk and Staritsa, which Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy made 8 attempts to displace the Ukrainian Armed Forces units near Zapadny, Lozovaya, Kruglyakovka, Boguslavka, and Nova Kruglyakovka. Currently, 4 battles are still ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy launched 24 attacks, attempting to advance towards Kopanky, Chernishiny, Novosergiyivka, Platonivka, Zeleny Hay, Druzhlyubivka, Makeivka, Ternovy, Zarechny, Torsk, and in the Serebryansk forest. Enemy airstrikes using 18 unguided rockets targeted Nadezhda, Aleksandrovka, and Zeleny Hay.

In the Seversk direction, the Russians unsuccessfully attacked the areas of Belogorivka and Grigorievka three times.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy made 4 unsuccessful attacks on the areas of Chasiv Yar, Stupochki, Belya Gora, and Aleksandro-Shultino. The General Staff noted that the situation is under control, and the Defense Forces are steadily holding their positions.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian occupiers attempted to break through the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 13 times. The enemy operated in the areas of Deliivka and Toretsk. All enemy attacks were repelled by the Defense Forces.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy continues its intense assaults. Russian invaders carried out 39 storming and offensive actions here.

The General Staff reported that the highest activity of the occupiers remains in the areas of Vozdvizhenska, Myrolyubivka, Luch, Lisovka, Zeleny, Dachensky, Novy Trud, Pyschany, Pokrovsk, Novoolevnyka, Volkovy, Shevchenko, and Novotroitsky. Currently, 3 battles are still ongoing.

"Our warriors are making efforts to prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory," the military command stated.

The General Staff added that the enemy is suffering significant losses in this direction. Since the beginning of the day, 312 occupiers have already been neutralized, 155 of whom are irretrievable.

"Additionally, our defenders destroyed one tank, six units of automotive equipment, and disabled one enemy mortar," the report stated.

In the Kurakhovo direction, there were 23 combat encounters. The enemy maintains high activity, trying to advance in the areas of Petropavlivka, Slavyanka, Andriivka, and Kurakhovo. Ukrainian defenders repelled 18 enemy attacks, and 5 battles are still ongoing.

"Today, the enemy has lost 78 personnel killed and wounded in this direction. One infantry fighting vehicle and one light armored multi-purpose transporter were destroyed, and two enemy tanks were significantly damaged," the General Staff reported.

In the Vremivka direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 15 enemy assaults in the areas of Yantarne, Vremivka, Konstantinopol, Novy Komar, and Konstantinopolskoye. 9 battles are still ongoing.

In the Huliaipole direction, Russian occupiers did not conduct any active operations.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy made one unsuccessful attempt to push the Armed Forces of Ukraine from their positions near Nova Andriivka.

In the Dniprovsky direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 3 enemy attacks.

The General Staff noted that in the Kursk region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct operations. In this direction, the enemy carried out 21 airstrikes using 31 guided aerial bombs and 424 artillery shellings, including 18 from multiple launch rocket systems.

The military department added that there have been no significant changes in the situation in other directions.

Earlier, the spokesperson for the operational-strategic grouping of troops "Khortytsia" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Viktor Trehubov, reported that Russian occupiers are accumulating forces for assaults in the Kurakhovo direction. He informed that the enemy has started to use anti-thermal imaging cloaks more frequently at night.

It should also be noted that, according to the General Staff report in the morning of December 26, over the past day, the losses of the Russian army amounted to 1540 personnel. Additionally, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 2 tanks, 10 armored combat vehicles, 24 artillery systems, and other enemy equipment.
