A mass migration of wild and predatory animals has been recorded in Dnipropetrovsk region. This is due to combat actions and climate changes. This was reported by the Eastern Forest Office, as conveyed by "Vidomo".
"According to the Eastern Forest Office of the State Enterprise 'Forests of Ukraine', migrations of deer and moose have been observed. The animals are relocating to safer areas of Dnipropetrovsk region,” the message states.
Experts explain that animals are fleeing to Dnipropetrovsk from neighboring regions where active fighting continues.
It is noted that alongside the herbivores, predators such as wolves, foxes, and raccoon dogs are also coming into the region.
At the same time, animals are reproducing more actively because hunting, forest visits, and burning dry grass have been prohibited in Ukraine during the war. The increase in rabies cases can also be linked to the growing animal population and their proximity to humans due to the high level of land cultivation.
