President Vladimir Zelensky's team is set to bid farewell to the "Servant of the People" brand ahead of the upcoming elections. It has long outlived its usefulness and has, in fact, become overtly toxic.
This is discussed in the article "All for the Elections? What Zelensky, Zaluzhny, and Other Top Politicians Are Preparing For".
Therefore, whenever the elections occur, the current ruling party will participate under the tentative name "Zelensky Bloc" (working title), which, according to various polls, garners around 20%, as noted in the article.
The head of this revamped party could be Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. Several sources from RBC-Ukraine have indicated that he is currently the leading candidate to lead Zelensky's party into the elections. However, all these ideas are still in the very early stages of "drafting."
Some time ago, while discussing the future of the party, the presidential team considered the idea of renaming "Servant of the People" to "Diya." However, this name, as sources within Vladimir Zelensky's team have indicated, does not significantly boost their ratings.
The president's team predicts that in the future electoral lists of the political force, no more than 10% of the current MPs from the monoblock will be included - those who have performed well in the Rada.
The remainder will be made up of individuals proposed by Zelensky - local leaders (individual mayors or heads of OVA), popular volunteers, bloggers, activists, and military personnel. Additionally, some "technocrats" - people close to the head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, will be tasked with managerial roles in the faction and party.
"But this time, the composition will definitely be approached more seriously than last time. The team will be just as diverse, but people will be more thoroughly vetted to ensure they are more independent and self-sufficient, in order to avoid the issues that occurred in this convocation," one source shared.
Recall that in the early parliamentary elections in July 2019, Vladimir Zelensky's party secured a majority of seats in parliament and independently formed a coalition and government. The monoblock has been in action to this day.
According to a KMIS survey, in May 2024, 13% of Ukrainians supported the ruling party "Servant of the People", while 48% disapproved of its activities.
