China has imposed sanctions for the second time in recent days against defense companies in the United States (USA). The restrictions were introduced allegedly "to protect national sovereignty, security, and interests."

The relationship between the two countries is characterized by both cooperation and competition. Economically, both nations are interdependent: China is one of the largest trading partners of the USA, while American companies heavily rely on the Chinese market and manufacturing capabilities.
At the same time, the USA accuses China of unfair trade practices, intellectual property violations, and more. In particular, the countries have disagreements over Taiwan, the South China Sea, and human rights.
