From December 27 to January 2, cases of acute intestinal infections and acute respiratory viral infections were reported among residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as suspicions of whooping cough and acute viral hepatitis. This information is reported by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention, as stated by "Vidomo".
The incidence of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) is at a seasonal level. Over the past week, there were 4,700 cases of ARVI registered, which is a 28.5% decrease compared to the previous week. The proportion of children under 17 years old is 41.9%.
Hospitals admitted 300 patients, including 164 children. Since the beginning of the epidemic season, 10,645 people have been vaccinated against influenza.
There were also 86 cases of acute intestinal infections recorded, which is a 41.5% decrease compared to the previous week. The intensity of the incidence rate does not exceed the average long-term level. The proportion of children under 17 years old is 54.7%.
Additionally, during the week, one suspicion of whooping cough was registered in Dnipro, three cases of suspected acute viral hepatitis, and three rabies outbreaks among animals. Eight individuals sought medical attention for rabies, and all are receiving therapeutic and preventive immunization.
