Kiev officials may face stricter regulations for foreign trips: here's what is being proposed.

The issue of sending representatives of local self-government bodies and employees of the Kyiv City State Administration abroad will be considered in Kyiv, pending the approval of the Defense Council.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the Telegram channel of the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA), Timur Tkachенко.

As Tkachенко explained, currently the approval of trips for officials and KMVA employees is carried out without the involvement of the Defense Council.

"Furthermore, it is important to note that all business trips are financed by the community of Kyiv. Therefore, each trip must be justified and necessary. Each case will be examined individually," emphasized the head of the KMVA.

He added that he would initiate the involvement of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the National Police in reviewing official business trips.

"This approach is already successfully used by military administrations in neighboring regions," Tkachенко noted.

Additionally, the Kyiv Defense Council will also consider the issue of changing the operation of public transport during air alerts and the removal of vehicles damaged as a result of shelling from the streets of the city.
