In the ecological and naturalist center of Pavlograd lives the symbol of the year – a python named Masha. The reptile was evacuated from Donetsk in 2014 when she was still a small snake. This is mentioned in the Telegram channel "Pavlograd_now", as reported by "Izvestno".

During this time, Masha has grown into a significant reptile: she measures 2 meters in length and weighs over 10 kilograms.

"Masha feeds on mice, birds, and other small creatures. If you can't keep the symbol of the year at home, visit the ecological and naturalist center at Sobornaya, 15, to see her in person and make a wish," the message states.

As is known, pythons are long-lived; some individuals in captivity can live for 30 years or more, reaching lengths of up to 3 meters. The longevity of these snakes depends on their living conditions, care quality, and diet.

Pythons are non-venomous, and even if they happen to bite (which can only occur in self-defense), such a bite is safe for human life.

These snakes quickly become accustomed to their owners.
