The Israeli ambassador to the United Nations (UN), Danny Danon, announced a "final warning" from his country to the Houthis in Yemen due to their ongoing airstrikes. Jerusalem threatens the militants with a fate similar to that of Hamas and Hezbollah.
This is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Reuters.
According to a representative of the Israeli diplomatic agency during a speech before the UN Security Council, the country will not tolerate attacks from Iran-backed groups.
Ambassador Danny Danon warned Tehran that Israel has the capability to strike any target in the Middle East, including Iran.
"Houthis: perhaps you haven't been paying attention to what has happened in the Middle East over the past year. Let me remind you of what happened to Hamas, Hezbollah, Assad (Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, ed.), and all those who have tried to destroy us. Let this be your final warning," he stated.
The Israeli diplomat added that this is not a threat but a "promise to share the same miserable fate."
Before the UN Security Council meeting, Danon told reporters that Israel "will protect its people."
"If 2000 kilometers is not enough to separate our children from terror, let me assure you, it will not be enough to protect them from our power," the diplomat declared.
It is also worth noting that just hours after this statement, the Israel Defense Forces reported another interception of a missile that was launched from Yemen.
Additionally, the chairman of the Houthi Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Mohamed Ali al-Houthi, stated in his note on Twitter (X) that the group will not cease its attacks on Israel.
Last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned the Houthis following a series of attacks on militia-related targets in Yemen, stating that the country "is just getting started." This refers to IDF strikes on targets in the vicinity of Sana'a airport, ports on Yemen's western coast, and two power plants.
Let us remind you that the Israeli army and intelligence services are methodically eliminating top leaders of the Palestinian terrorist movement Hamas and militants of the Lebanese group Hezbollah, as well as destroying military infrastructure in Syria, including after the collapse of Assad's regime.
