The mayor of Dnipro, Boris Filatov, has commented for the first time on the so-called "Maldives party" involving members of the Dnipro City Council, which sparked public outcry in September this year. He spoke about this in the broadcast of the TV program "Rendezvous with Yanina Sokolova," as reported by "Vidomo."
According to the mayor of Dnipro, he did not send the deputies on a business trip to the Maldives.
"As for the deputies who allegedly went to the Maldives – this is being handled by law enforcement. It still needs to be proven whether they were there or not, as well as why they were there. But I can definitely say that even if they were there, I certainly did not send them and did not approve any business trip there," Filatov emphasized.
The mayor also added that even if the deputies were at the resort, it is "their moral and ethical responsibility to their constituents."
