Ukrainian Armed Forces' Special Operations Forces (SOF) are inflicting significant losses on enemy troops in the Kursk region, particularly among North Korean soldiers. In just three days, one crew of Ukrainian defenders eliminated 77 North Korean soldiers in the area.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian SOF.
The Ukrainian defenders published a video online showcasing the actions of the 8th SOF Regiment. The footage reveals how they neutralize personnel from the North Korean contingent "in an open field."
"77 North Korean soldiers eliminated in three days by one SOF crew," the video is captioned.
The footage shows the enemy attempting to flee from Ukrainian drones at various locations. However, the "warriors" of the opposing army are unsuccessful. Strikes on enemy equipment are also recorded.
The Special Operations Forces reported that, in addition to eliminating this number of North Korean soldiers during that time frame, more than 40 North Korean military personnel were also wounded.
"Additionally, 12 vehicles, 3 buggies, and armored fighting vehicles were destroyed," the soldiers stated.
The SOF added that the operation in the Kursk region is ongoing, and they are "continuing their work."
Yesterday, the command of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces revealed how the Russian Federation is attempting to conceal the presence of North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region by providing them with false documents.
They showcased documents of the North Korean soldiers eliminated by the SOF operators, identifying their data and names. The signatures of the owners were made in Korean.
Recently, the U.S. Department of Defense estimated that North Korean troop losses have already reached about "two hundred." The Pentagon also predicts that these numbers will continue to rise.
Additionally, on December 20, South Korean intelligence reported that at least 100 North Korean soldiers have already died in Russia, while another 1,000 were injured in the Kursk region.
