Drones attacked the largest sea trade port in Russia, which is considered the second largest after Novorossiysk.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Telegram channel ASTRA.
"The largest sea trade port in Russia, Ust-Luga, was targeted by drones today (January 4, - ed.) in the Leningrad region," the message states.
According to ASTRA, most of the drones that attacked the Leningrad region today were shot down over the terminal of LLC "Novatrans" located in the Ust-Luga sea trade port.
Preliminary reports indicate that windows in one of the port buildings were damaged. Local authorities have already reported four downed UAVs and stated that there are no casualties or significant damage.
The Ust-Luga sea trade port, according to publicly available data, began operations with the opening of a coal terminal in December 2001.
By the early 2020s, it had become the second largest in Russia, after Novorossiysk.
