A section of Vinnytsia will temporarily lack water: what happened?

A portion of Vinnytsia will temporarily be without water supply due to an emergency on the main water pipeline.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing a statement from the Vinnytsia City Council.

The utility company "Vinnytsiaoblvodokanal" announced that part of Vinnytsia will temporarily lack water supply because of the accident on the main water pipeline.

To address the pipe burst, the company is suspending operations at the "Vishenka" water pumping station. The following areas will be temporarily without water:

• Vishenka microdistrict;
• Sabarov microdistrict;
• Academic microdistrict;
• Khmelnytske Shosse street;
• Podillia microdistrict;
• Pirohovo microdistrict;
• Agronomichne village;
• Zarvantsi village.

"Residents of Vinnytsia are urged to take care of their water reserves now. The utility will provide further updates on the completion of the work," the city council added.

It is worth noting that there has been an increase in cases of fraud related to water meter verification recently. Ukrainians have been informed about how to avoid scams.
