Britain will provide funds to Ukraine for the investigation of Russian war crimes.

Britain will continue to support Ukraine. New funding will be allocated to hold war criminals accountable.

Today, December 29, it was announced that £4.5 million (over €5 million) will be allocated to assist Ukraine. These funds will be directed towards investigating war crimes committed by Russian forces during Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The funding is intended to support the documentation, investigation, and prosecution of war crimes in Ukraine.

Russian War Crimes

During the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian army regularly commits war crimes. Several Western countries have condemned the Kremlin for this and promised to punish all those involved in the crimes.

We remind you that in November of last year, Europol established a new operational group (OTF) to assist in the investigation of war crimes in Ukraine.

Shortly before that, the United Nations Commission of Inquiry stated that it had found additional evidence of Russian military aggression and war crimes in Ukraine, including rape and the deportation of children to Russia.
