Стефанишина: подавляющее большинство стран НАТО уверены, что членство Украины является необратимым.

The vast majority of NATO countries support the irreversibility of Ukraine's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance. They are committed to the decisions made at the Washington summit.

This was stated by the Vice Prime Minister and Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Olga Stefanishyna, as reported by RBK-Ukraine citing "Ukrinform".

Stefanishyna was asked whether allies are considering any concessions regarding Ukraine's NATO membership in the context of potential future negotiations to end the war.

In response, the minister reminded that another meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council took place yesterday, January 29, where the outcomes of the Washington summit were summarized and priorities for 2025 were established.

"I cannot name all the countries right now, but the absolute and overwhelming majority of allies noted the decisions of the Washington summit regarding the irreversibility of Ukraine's NATO membership. I also emphasized that this is a joint decision of the Ukraine-NATO Council, and it pertains to all parties involved in this process," Stefanishyna emphasized.

Ukraine's NATO Membership

It is worth noting that Ukraine is expecting an invitation to NATO from its Western allies, but this has not yet materialized. In particular, Germany and the USA are against it.

Meanwhile, the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, supports the invitation. He pointed out that this would be a step towards real guarantees for Ukraine.

Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also emphasized that Ukraine's NATO membership is the cheapest security guarantee for the West.
