Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff today, December 12. The discussion primarily focused on air defense issues.

"I convened the meeting of the Staff here today, primarily regarding air defense, stabilizing the front, and achieving our key security objectives," the head of state noted.
He added that Ukraine needs real peace, which requires being genuinely strong. According to him, it is essential to do everything possible to bring Ukraine closer to peace every day.
During his visit to Zaporizhzhia, the head of state also introduced the new commander of the Ground Forces, Mykhailo Drapaty, to Ukrainian generals.
"I am grateful for the trust to lead the most powerful and numerous branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I will do everything on my part to ensure that the branch develops, acquires necessary capabilities, and is prepared for all the challenges that await us in the future. People, technology, and management processes are my priorities," Drapaty emphasized.
In turn, the head of state clarified that the new commander of the Ground Forces has already been given clear tasks and is ready to fulfill them.

In particular, he visited a HIMARS division in the Zaporizhzhia direction, where he presented awards to Ukrainian defenders.
