Ukrainian forces captured an Egyptian citizen during an assault by Russia in the Toretsk direction (video).

Ukrainian military forces captured an Egyptian citizen. He was assaulting the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of the occupying forces in the Toretsk direction.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing Telegram from the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign.

Thus, taking advantage of the foggy weather, a group of occupiers managed to approach the military positions, but they were immediately met with heavy fire from the infantry of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion of the 28th Brigade.

"Constantly changing positions and utilizing all available arsenal, the forces effectively eliminated the entire group. One occupier managed to fall into a trench next to his predecessor comrade, but he was quickly 'smoked out' of there with grenades and ultimately eliminated," the brigade reported.

Another part of the assault group, which began to flee, hide, and pretend to be eliminated, was captured by the pilots of the Drone Battalion and "Kurt&Company".

"Only one occupier was fortunate because he decided to surrender. The only issue was that he turned out to be an Egyptian citizen, so the infantry had to explain all gestures," the military shared.

The situation and tactics of the occupiers in the Toretsk direction

Over the course of December 25, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 13 attacks from the occupiers near Toretsk, Diliivka, and Shcherbynivka.

Military personnel note that the daily assaults by Russians in the Toretsk direction increasingly resemble battles with "Wagner" forces. Unable to break through in small groups, the enemy began to increase the number of stormtroopers to 20 invaders.

It is worth noting that this is not the first foreigner from Egypt to be captured by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In early October, the Armed Forces captured an Egyptian citizen who also joined the Russian occupying forces. According to the captive, he signed a contract with the Russian army because his visa was about to expire.
