Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that his country is exploring all possible options to support peace in Ukraine, including the deployment of Canadian troops as part of an international contingent.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing The Guardian.

"Canada is considering the most effective ways to provide assistance, and as I mentioned a few days ago, all options are on the table," Trudeau stated regarding the potential deployment of troops to Ukraine.

According to the Prime Minister, Canada "has been one of the strongest supporters of Ukraine from the very beginning." He noted that his country has already trained "up to 40,000 Ukrainian soldiers." However, he expressed a desire not to rush into specific statements regarding peacekeeping.

"We will not rush discussions about a peace that does not yet exist, but Canada will be present and open to everything necessary," Trudeau said.

Trudeau also mentioned that he will meet with King Charles III of the United Kingdom on Monday to discuss important matters.

"I can say that for Canadians, there is nothing more important right now than protecting our sovereignty and independence as a nation," emphasized the Canadian Prime Minister.

Foreign Troops in Ukraine

Recall that today, following the summit of European leaders in London, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced the deployment of troops to Ukraine. According to him, in the event of a peace agreement, the United Kingdom is ready to send a military contingent that could be supported by aviation.

Recently, media outlets reported that plans are being developed in Europe to send soldiers to Ukraine. According to press reports, Ukraine's partners are prepared to allocate up to 30,000 troops.

Additionally, Bloomberg reports that Turkey could send its military to Ukraine. However, Ankara will not participate in any peacekeeping mission unless it is involved in all consultations and preparations for its formation.
